Another cool part about this cathedrale is the choir of the church which contains seating for the clergy and the church choir. In this particular choir there are 113 oak stalls that all have cravings of biblical figures or Old and New Testament Scenes just like the stain - glass windows. The artist who did these carvings is anonymous but payed great attention to detail when carving the stalls.

Cathedrale Sainte Marie in Auch, France 🇫🇷
After leaving Toulouse we started our journey to Lourdes. On our way there we stopped in a town called Auch where we visited the Cathedrale Sainte Marie. The cathedrale is dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Marie and is a mix between the gothic and the renessaince/classical architecture style. In the ambulatory part of this cathedrale there are 18 large stain - glass windows that depict scenes from the Old and the New Testament including the crucifixion of Jesus. Those scenes contain biblical figures in architectural perspectives. These stain - glass windows are vibrant and full the space with light!
