Living in a Castle

Our last new stop along our journey was in Carcassonne, France. This town is a renovated fortress that allows tourists an in depth look into life inside a city during medieval times. I loved living inside Carcassonne for the time we had. It had such a different feel compared to everywhere else we stayed on the trip. Beginning with how we had to park outside the city and walk in through the double walls, and continuing with exploring the museum and walking through the Basilica of Saint-Nazaire. Overall, a beautiful experience in a beautiful castle city. I definitely could've spent more time in Carcassonne, as there was so much to see there simply wasn't enough time.
