The Final Stop

As the trip comes to the end we got to stay in castle and boy was I excited! Finally I had the opportunity to act like a real princess and stay in a castle for two nights. The location was beautiful they had two walls surrounding the outside of the castle that you had to walk through in order to get into the inside. This was used as a protection barrier from intruders. A lot of the buildings inside the walls were reconstructed as they were in ruins and the people who redesigned them tried to restore them in the best possible way that still fit the architecture of that century. The museum we stopped at had a lot of different artifacts and the views from the top of the towers were amazing. The city has since grown and extends outside of the walls which was easily seen from the tops of the towers. What  I found interesting was how big the fireplaces were. Back then when there wasn't any heat they only used fireplaces and made the rooms smaller while have the fireplaces be very large in order to keep the room warmer during the winter.
